We had a very pleasant surprise when we arrived at the hotel- a hidden gem (I had googled streetview and saw graffitti on the nearby bulidings so was quite apprehensive)It is a boutique hotel, friendly helpful staff who are quite rightly proud of their establishment-Rooms were spotless- in fact the whole place was very clean - bed comfortable, lots of extras such as the free internet, lovely deep bath, room plenty big enough and a breakfast included- great value for money- a couple of minutes walk to the metro - if like us you like walking we took the Metro and then walked back after tramping around Rome. Hotel arranged shuttles to and from airport, booked a resturant for us- nothing is too much trouble. I'd stay there again.

This is a hidden gem...just outside the city walls but we even walked to the Vatican from the hotel.
The staff are exceptionally helpful in telling you how to get to places & organising pickup/dropoff from/to the airports.
Re di Roma is a hotel I would definitely recommend to other travellers.
It would be good if they did light meals in the evening but good restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.
There is a chinese restaurant literally a one minute wals from the hotel but the meals are fairly tasteless & small.
It would also be helpful if there was a chest of drawers in the rooms as we were there for 5 days & had nowhere to put our smaller items of clothing etc (the manager did say that they intended to put drawers into the rooms in the near future)

A great hotel with a younger crowd (late twenties and thirties). Front reception made excellent restaurant suggestions.

I was disappointed that the breakfast room had "machine" coffee instead of fresh brewed with pitchers of warm milk, etc. as I used to experience in hotels in Italy. The coffee alone is enough reason to go to Italy!

We were in Rome for three nights before leaving for a villa in Tuscany. There were 12 of us for a family reunion. Hotel Re di Roma was wonderful! We had 4 rooms and each room was very nice and always kept immaculate by the housekeeping staff when we returned each evening. The front desk people were very helpful in making restaurant reservations and giving directions. We all really enjoyed their restaurant suggestions too. We would all stay there again and highly recommend Hotel Re di Roma.

The front desk did not know how to forward calls to my room the first night. To me, that is a big failure in the service department. I had to receive calls on my Blackberry on roaming because the receptionist had no idea how to forward calls.

The place is clean and very comfortable. The service is great and the neighborhood very peaceful and quiet. There was no problems with getting to the most popular places in the city. Metro stops one minute way from the hotel. Rooms are big enaugh and very cozy. Only shower was too small for two, but we do recommend this place from all our hearts.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The staff were very professional and very helpful with regards getting about Rome and where to eat. The young lady at reception even checked the weather for us and suggested that we changed out itinary because it was due to rain. She did this without us even asking for this information.
The only suggestion we would make, was if they had some piped music in the lounge and bar area,it seemed to lack a little bit of atmosphere and I'm sure more people would use these facilities.
Overall this was a great hotel to stay in and would definitely return and recommend to other people.

Excellent staff..wonderful hotel!!

There is a slight noise problem due to thin walls.

The hotel is well located close to a exit of line A metro and outside of the centre of Rome which makes it more quiet. One point for improvement is the sound insulation for room 506. The neighbours like to watch tele, in which you can easily participate although not visualy, only by hearing. Fortunately they do not stay up too late.
Breakfast in the hotel is buffet style (small buffet), a little more choice would be welcome. But do not misunderstand, we had a wonderfull stay in the hotel the room was large and well equiped. The personel was friendly and helpfull. The free internet facillity in the lobby is very usefull for some late research on Rome. Overall very good value for money

This was by far our favorite hotel in the last 4 months of travelling in Europe. Even better than some "four" and "five" star hotels that warrants suspicion on how they got their ratings. The staff was extrodinarily friendly and helpful with great recommendations. The hotel is a bit further out than the central sites but we liked the less touristy neighborhood and 1.5 block ease of jumping on the metro.

So glad to find this affordable, very comfortable hotel - was beyond expectations and highly recommend to all travelers. Definitely would return for a stay.

The only disappointment was the breakfast - the buffet seemed less than fresh and you had to request espresso or cappuccino instead of the over-stewed coffee on offer. Boiled eggs would have been a welcome addition. In every other regard the hotel offers an excellent place to stay at a reasonable price (especially with the online discounts) and easy to get to and from the center of Rome using the Metro - about five minutes walk from the door.

I used the opinions of other travelers and I had to agree with them: Hotel is really perfect from many aspects. Very good location, just near metro, perfect access to the most important attractions, to the basilica of St John in Lateran – just by foot.
Very quite district. Nice and reach breakfast, nice choice of espresso coffees!
We had rooms (1 sgl and 1 dbl) with so nice terraces.
Very professional staff.
This five nights in Re di Rome hotel was just pleasure, I am quite “heavy traveler”, experienced in many business and holiday trips, so I can say honestly: very good choice.

A good location 2 minutes walk to Re Di Roma metro station. Metro system excellent for getting around. 7 day metro ticket 16 euro excellent value. Line A for Trevi,Spanish Steps,Pantheon,Vatican, Vatican Musuems,Villa Borghese(Galleria Borghese).Line B for Colloseum, Circus Maximus. Re Di Roma metro within 5 to 20 mins of all main tourist stations. If a line change is req just go to main Termini metro station. Metro stops at 10.00 p.m but tickets valid for buses that run later. Coast(seaside can be reached in 1 hour via metro - and then train. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms serviced every day! Hotel very quite at night sound proof windows, small comfortable bar & lounge but too much to see in Rome to sit around. Breakfast typical continental reasonable but predictable. Good base if you use metro and dont mind walking to tourist sites all within 5 to 20 minutes of metro stations. Not much to do at night around immediate hotel area but either use the metro to get to all the same places or your too tired from the day so chill. Recommend see all the same sites day and again at night.
Would stay there again 8.5 out of 10

The room for breakfast is very small and one person for the service is absolutly not enough (specialy during the last hour). The breakfast must be improved.
The tourist information is very poor and has no informations in the room (about hotel services, transports, etc.), what is usualy in tourist places.
