Welcoming hotel right in the heart of Rome. We received free upgrades as it was my parents anniversary. Breakfast buffet was of good quality. We were travelling with elderly parents so the central location was beneficial as were the friendly staff. (though note there are some stairs to navigate up to reception). There are not many communal areas but this is not a problem due to the location. This is a hotel for people wanting luxury rooms, people on hand if you need but happy to go out to dinner etc as this is more of an aparthotel..

We had a large well air conditioned room.
Small shower.
Restuarant on roof top one of the best view of the Trevi Fountain in Rome

We read a few reviews before booking our stay at the Relais Fontana di Trevi and we don't know how anyone could have anything negative to say about the Hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional, the rooms were very large for Italy and very clean. Our room was on the back of the hotel and was very quiet, our friends were on the front and said it was a little noisy at night, but nothing earplugs couldn't take care of. The rooftop breakfast was fresh and quite extensive and frequently refurbished and the view amazing. We have been to Rome many times and we would definately stay here again.

This hotel is in an ideal position for visiting most places in Rome. We found the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. There was plenty to choose from at the breakfast and the bar staff in the evening were excellent and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely return to this hotel because of the hotel staff and location. We had booked a standard twin room but on arrival, they had upgraded us to a Superior room which was very spacious! The only downside to the room was the bathroom with no shelf to put your washbags on and no decent mirror to do your make-up. Overall, an excellent hotel wish we intend to re-visit next year! The weather was quite disappointing as our stay was from 2-6 May 2010, but we came with our rain macs!

Centre of everything and so convenient. Many nice cosy restaurnats nearby and just ideal from a location viewpoint. The terrace where you have breakfast has a great view of Trevi Fountain.

This Hotel is the best kept secret in Rome! We were just a little confused about room descriptions, so we contacted them directly. They were very helpful, and clear. The room we chose was a small one, but plenty of room for suitcases. Bathroom very clean, and good size. Breakfast was amazing, and eating on the terrace looking at Trevi Fountain is a memory we will never forget. Catalina helped us with a tour, transportation from the airport, and later to our ship to start a cruise. Just a wonderful 3 night stay. We hope to go back one day.

We were a party of five (with 2 kids) and reserved 2 rooms for a period of ca. 5 days. The rooms were comfortable and spacious -- particularly the one with 3 beds, which had a big toilet, bath and shower. The staff were kind and very helpful making us feel very much at home.
The terrace on the 3rd floor provides a great view over the fountain of Trevi. The hotel's central location was the key selling feature for us. (The only inconvenient thing about the hotel is that to get to the reception or to the elevator, one needs to walk up a flight of stairs.) We were able to see nearly all the key sites in Rome by walking. We recommend for visitors not to use the local taxis, as they tend to jack up the price on tourists.

The room facing the street is still noisy even after the window is closed. Suggestion: Add more insulation. The room facing the rear has a tiny shower room. During the shower, the plastic curtain moves toward you and making the shower very difficult. This is caused by the wind from the exhaust fan. Suggestion: Enlarge the shower space. Change the shower curtain from flexible to rigid door.

Very pleased with hotel's reception and the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff. Position was central to all the historical sites and transport. The roof terrace was particularly spectacular with its full view of the Trevi Fountain and at the same time very tranquil. Highly recommended.

A little gem of a hotel. A real find. We went for, and experienced, that little bit of luxury for a special occassion. We booked a superior room and it was worth that little bit extra. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. This hotel was the icing on the cake. While it doesn't have a restaurant on the premises there is a snack bar and there is a great restaurant 100 yards away called Chianti. They have a very good and varied menu at very reasonable prices.

But if you expect to stay in a normal to quiet place this isn't the right one, we have stayed in many capitol cities in central locations, but we have never been in such a noisy and touristic area, it's annoyed that the area is stuffed with street vendors selling everything between heaven and earth.

We suggest You to serve a higher quality of the breakfast. It does not match the other qualities of the hotel. Fresh bread, coffee, etc. The location away from trafic noise is perfect. Nice to hear the Trevi water flushing silently.

This hotel is superbly presented and in a fantastic location. We found the staff extremely helpful and their command of the English language was excellent.
We will most definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family considering staying in Rome. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.
